EXAMINATION POLICY

1. Each academic Year will commence with effect from 1st Mar and terminate on 28th Feb next year. It will comprise of two academic terms.

2. Each Term will culminate with its end term examination. First Term Examinations will be conducted from 1st Sep to 15 Sep and second term will end with annual examinations from 1st Feb to 15 Feb.

3. Examinations and Tests are the means to emphasize and groom various aspects of a personality. LCIC accords high priority to develop balanced personalities. Therefore the Final Result of each term will include the following Weightage /Division according to LCIC’s Current Examination Policy.

  • Text Books Syllabus Knowledge. 70%
  • Personality Development. 30%
    • Extra curricular activities.
    • Conduct and Behavior.
    • Leadership Qualities.
    • General Knowledge.
    • Skill Development.

4. During First Term, 65 % of the academic syllabus will be covered and examined.

5. Second Term will be mostly devoted to make up weak areas, revision and practice tests. Second Term will culminate with academic year annual examination.

6. Monthly Tests (end of March, April and May) will be held during first term. The accumulated average of three monthly tests, equal to 100 Marks will be included in First Term Examination Result.

7. Personality Development will be graded through two papers marked by the parents in each term. The total sum of two papers equivalent to 50 marks will be included in each Term Examination Result.

8. Homework and Extra Curricular Projectsfor Summer Vacations will carry 50 marks each and will be included in First Term Examination Result.

9. Conduct and Behavior will carry 100 marks, which will be graded by faculty members. Daily Duty Teacher/proctor checks the students for improper dress, misconduct, general discipline, and other aspects. Five marks will be deducted for one mistake. A student caught in cheating will be penalized by 25 marks out of 100 marks of conduct and behavior. The obtained marks will be included in each term examination result.

10. Unannounced assimilation tests and quizzes will be conducted through out the academic year.

11. Examination Committee headed by Vice Principal will be responsible to set the papers in close coordination with Research and Development Team. The Examination Team is responsible to conduct examinations according to the syllabus and Examination Policy of Lahore College of Intellectuals.

12. Practice tests and past papers of Board Examinations will be conducted frequently during second term.

13. Annual Examinations Schedule for grades 8 to 12 will be according to the respective Committee/Board Examinations.

14. Any change in examination policy will be intimated to students and parents as and when required.
